GNOLE (from the ODIN project sketchbook)

One of the minions of Odin's enemy, Hel. According to the Norse Eddas, Gnoles, Gnomes, Trolls, Goblins and other similar "Dark Elves" have a curious genesis: they were spawned from maggots that festered in the flesh of the dead Frost Giant, Ymir. Heh heh. Gotta love those Vikings. (2003)
