Hey, Tim Thanks for sharing those awesome Conan pages with us. Especially the Corben pages ! I just hope that he colors them himself, I don't know why but it seems like no one can really color his stuff effectively other than himself. The b&w stuff totally reminds me of the stuff he did for Heavy Metal way back when. Now if he would color it like that stuff, that would be too awesome for words. Stuff like Grimjack and Den are the reason that I want to get into doing comics. Well self published anyway, I really don't see any comics like that out there. Which is sad. BTW I can't wait to hear about the new Grimjack.

The stuff he's doing is AMAZING, Brother Rod. he has three episodes completed, and is almost done with the fourth. Can't wait for you to see it. The story is real cool, too. I'm quite proud of it. It gets deep into young Conan's skull. Best of all, we've worked out a way to lessen the various fill-ins and such, so the continuity will proceed full steam ahead, at last. I've enjoyed doing the occasional fill-in story, but the downside has been the impedence to the flow of continbuity for the the ongoing series. That bothered me a lot, but there's been no way around it until now, so I just used them as a chance to broaden the scope of the series a bit. Speaking of the fill-ins, the last one I wrote for Paul lee will be in issue 40 and it is ONE WILD ROMP. I think folks will find it pretty engaging and rather stratling in spots. Thanks again, man. See you at Pittsburgh Con? -Timbo

Awesome to hear about how things are going with Conan. I think the fill-ins are always the drawback to a monthly book but DH has gotten some really good artists to do them thankfully. Im in Afghanistan right now hope I can get out to some cons next year. Ive always admired your writing along with your artwork, I think youre taking it to another level on Conan. Maybe you can talk them DH folks into doing some Solomon Kane someday...

I thought 37 was really good. Seems like everyone I hear from really liked it. I haven't minded the fill ins so far because I really like Paul Lee and I like the King Conan stuff too. It does hold up the main storyline but as long as good people are doing the odd issues I'm not at all displeased about that. I was really stunned to hear Corben was gonna do Conan. We were just talking about him on the Conan boards early in the DH run and how incredible it would be to see him do Conan. I remember my wish list had Lansdale, yourself, Mignola, Corben and a few others and really most of the guys Ive wanted to see have done the book in some form or the other. The book is going great. Really its better off than I thought it would be (and I had high hopes for your run). After reading the last issue I'm actually surprised that you weren't the guy to do the book from day one. I think Corben would be perfect for Kull.

Thanks, man! Wow, you're right. Corben would be great for Kull. I think they got someone else for the Kull miniseries, though.
