The work with Joe Lansdale is just as strong as your work with John Ostrander. So I was wondering, when you work with them do you sit down and go thru detailed plots page by page or do they write out detailed scripts and you follow and make changes accordingly? I know both writers are very good (understatement there) but the sililarity in work (especially doing action sequences) is amazing. I just reread two gun mojo and am still blown away by it...

With both Joe and John, we do a lot of pre-planning and headjamming before they write the story. It's always one of the most fun parts of the collaboration. Pre-planning with Joe doesn't mean that's what the final script will look like, though. Joe himself does little pre-plotting. Stories develop all by themselves at his keyboard, usually, unless he's writing a movie script. John is big into pre-planning, and has everything worked out in an outline before he starts writing. Of course, he'll change certain concepts if he feels the need to.

I do Grimjack with John via plot method because that's how John and I work best with each other.I do full script with Joe because that's what Joe prefers to do. I'd like to try "plot" style with Joe sometime but the sorry ol' bastard rails again' it.

My personal opinion is that both men write very, very differently. I love working with either one equally. So far, they are the only writers that I've ever found whom I do my best work for.
