HELL'S BOUNTY book cover, Subterranean Press
Cover for a limited edition hardcover by Joe R. Lansdale and his brother John, presenting their screenplay for an outrageous horror western what they thunk up. Technique-wise, I began by asking myself the age-old question: "What if Charlie Russell had done covers for 1930's pulp horror mags?" I've always been a big fan of Russell's old west watercolors.

By the way, I went through two versions of the painting before settling on this one, which I was pretty satisfied with.
